IMO its better to delete and remake the character because if you change the gender you are going to have to pay more so your male Wammo isn't named Princess Of Flowers or your female rit isn't named Studly Mcstudstud.

Well, not everyone would have to change names - so many people are X Ritualist X or something uncreative like that, and that's gender-nonspecific - but if you did have a female character I'd say the name-changing would make more sense (coming to terms with the microtransaction thing at this point, since it's apparently the way of the future - I just wish they'd actually put the "micro" in "microtransaction", but this is beside the point). I guess not everyone has the same connection to their characters, eh?

It could have interesting RP value, if you're willing to accept the canonicity of sex-change operations in a medieval world, I suppose.

Haha, MMOs are the Willow/Tara of the internet! First all the lesbian couples (all those guys who like to run females but whose girlfriends also play as females, mainly), now this.

My girls'll all stay girls, though.

I was just noting... OP said "post before and after here". So really, shouldn't this be in the Screenshots board? Plus that way we can steer clear of the debate that's gonna pop up if it's just a discussion topic... but anyway I'll leave that to the mods to decide.

Why would you put the effort into getting GWAMM and FOW on a character you didn't like the name or gender of?

People change, hmm? Maybe you liked it at some point, but then grew away from that. Most players of GW are the 16-20 crowd, a very trendy one. New fads come and go. Maybe you like something one day, a couple months down the line you don't.

I mean, look at clothes, music, movies. It all changes. Heck, if you want a real good example, look at James Bond. So many actor changes, I won't even start in on how much I think some of them suck.

People change too, especially young people. Maybe one year you like blonde hair, the next brunette. Maybe you go through some radical change and become emo, or maybe go crazy and dye your hair pink or blue or something. Happens all the time, there's no reason to think it wouldn't happen on a game.

Heck, in a 4 year timespan, someone could go from being straight to coming out of the closet and being gay (look at Ellen). Or maybe deciding they want to be the other gender. I'm sure it probably happens... Those are some extreme examples, but I'm just saying, people do change. Whether a little or extreme, it's just a game anyhow. You like something, then you like something else. Who cares?
